The Cleveland Cello Society announces:

i Cellisti! 2025

Our annual cello extravaganza and fundraiser

April 4  at 7 pm — St. Paul’s Episcopal Church — 2747 Fairmount Blvd.  Cleveland Heights

The Cleveland Cello Society’s very popular annual concert and  fundraiser, i Cellisti! 2025,   certainly  lives up to its reputation as a cello ensemble extravaganza!  An all-star cast of cellists of Greater Cleveland, who all have donated their services for this very special event, have curated an eclectic mix of works--  a charming arrangement of Sony Burke’s Bella Notte from the Disney animated film, Lady and the Tramp; Two Pair by American composer and cellist, Alan Shulman (1915-2002); and the world premiere of the CCS commissioned work, Suite- Three Traditional Spirituals arranged for cello ensemble by Rollo Dilworth, American choral composer and professor at Temple University. In addition, the Bowling Green State University Cello Ensemble, directed by Professor Brian Snow, will perform How To Train Your Dragon by British film composer, John Powell, arranged for cello ensemble by BGSU composition major and cellist, Joey Miller.  The grand finale of the evening will feature guest artist, Jonathan Dormond, cellist of the Verona Quartet, in-residence at the Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music, performing Franz Josef Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major in Douglas Moore’s arrangement for cello ensemble. This unique concert is not to be missed.  Come revel in the  sea of vibrations only  an ensemble of cellos can create and remember, 100% of the proceeds go to the CCS Scholarship Fund!

Suggested donation: $35 adult, $10 student, $100 i Cellisti! patron.
